11. The Devil Supports Johnny’s Movie 

The Devil will support Johnny’s movie (obvi), especially since John is so against it. In fact, “Marlena” being pro-Johnny’s flick and Black being anti-flick will be the start of what crumbles their romance in October. “Darlena” will not only fund the movie but also act as creative director to the whole thing.

10. The Story Changes Up 

Marlena will advise Johnny on the storyline for his movie. Since Marlena was the one possessed, her grandson will hang on to her every word! The Devil may make himself look like the hero in the storyline, even though he’s the villain. How will Johnny fall for this? Will the evil one put him under a spell? “Darlena” may promise Johnny wealth, celebrity and fame — shallow things that will have the young DiMera infatuated. The Devil may also dangle being more “successful” than EJ, and how “jealous” his dad will be when the movie premieres.

9. The Devil Will Possess Others

October is all about Halloween, so the Devil is sure to ramp up his creepy game. He’ll likely “possess” others, quickly swapping bodies as he aims to ruin families and lives. Johnny could be one victim, and another one could be Doug (again). Williams is too weak to resist or fight back. Other possible candidates? Abigail, especially if she decides to play Marlena in Johnny’s movie (and also because of her mental health issues). Then, the Devil could jump into the villains of Salem, like EJ or Gwen. No one would question why they are being so evil, right?

8. Gwen Keeps A Secret

Onward to other storylines, Days spoilers for fall hint that the truth about Sarah being on an island could come out in October. A scene shows Xander and Gwen in bed when he hears the news and “jumps” at the chance to save his former love. But could this be a “dream”? Could Gwen learn the truth about Sarah’s whereabouts and keep it hidden from Xandy?

7. Who’s Behind Sami’s Disappearance?

Days spoilers for October imply that fans will learn the “who and why” behind Sami’s disappearance and be stunned! Would any viewer be stunned to learn EJ kidnapped his wife? Probably not, which could mean it is someone else entirely. What if Ava, using her mob connections, is behind it all? Or maybe Kristen DiMera, to get even with Sami over everything that happened after her secret was revealed.

6. Nicole and EJ Steam Up Daytime Screens

While most fans want to see Nicole and Rafe end up together, it looks like a reunion between EJ and Nicole is in the works. Viewers should expect some heated moments between these two in October. While DiMera will be a fun distraction for Walker, his motives behind the romance might be ill-willed. What if he’s behind Sami’s disappearance and he tapes him and Nicole together, only to rub it in his wife’s face while she’s locked up?

5. Chanel and Johnny Get Serious

Johnny and Chanel will get serious in the first few weeks of October. They may even decide to take their relationship to the “next level”. However, once Johnny gets wrapped up with his movie, the Devil may change his attitude a bit. The influence of the evil one could create a smug and arrogant Johnny. This might turn Chanel off.

4. Chanel and Allie Cheat

If Chanel is slightly turned off, will she turn to Allie? As Tripp has shrugged off Marlena’s “possession” story, Allie might also start to resent her boyfriend. Could these ladies cross a line? If they do, it could complicate things. Allie wouldn’t only be cheating on her boyfriend, but she’d be betraying her brother, too.

3. Abe and Paulina’s Wedding Conflict

Speaking of Chanel, while she’ll likely be happy her mother is marrying Abe Carver, Paulina’s decision in choosing her matron of honor (Lani) is sure to cause conflict. Chanel will likely wonder why she was snubbed for the big job. Sure, Lani is Paulina’s niece, but Chanel is her daughter! This could cause drama between Chanel and her mom, but also between Chanel and her cousin!

2. Ciara and Ben Go Full Steam Ahead

Sounds like Ciara and Ben could decide to go “full steam ahead” with their baby-making plans next month! The young couple is sure to jump at the opportunity to practice and have a little fun. Ciara will also work overtime to ease Ben’s fears around his “bad genes”. But what will happen when they try and try, only to see zero results?

1. Hints Around Fertility Issues

Could this storyline have a plot twist? Don’t all Days storylines swerve at one point or another? As soon as Ben and Ciara decide to expand their family, trouble could strike. Nothing major will happen in October, but there’s a good chance some “hints” around fertility issues will surface. Ciara has been in a lot of accidents over the years, and during a short amount of time. Could one of the explosions she was in have affected her reproductive system? Anything is possible!
