With Salem about to mourn the loss of a beloved Salemite, will more suspects in Abigail’s murder surface? Who’s arrested this week? How will Chad react? Does Shelle have a chance to reunite now that fans know Baby Shawn isn’t Shawn’s? Days of Our Lives (DOOL) fans love speculating on storylines! As such, below are some DOOL plotline predictions for July 4 to July 15, 2022.

12. An Absolute Tear-fest Ahead

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to predict that this coming week in Salem will be a tear-fest, as Abigail’s celebration of life occurs. The Days weekly preview shows many characters breaking down before, during, and after the funeral. Fans should stock up on tissues and allow the ugly cry to follow. It’s going to be very hard for friends, and family (plus, viewers) to say goodbye to Abby.

11. Who Has Rafe Arrested?

Days spoilers also indicate that Rafe will arrest a suspect in the case. During the preview video, the person arrested is referred to as a “he”. Therefore, it’s not a female. This narrows things down, but who could it be? There’s a good chance it’s Clyde. If anyone notices Abby’s bracelet on Nancy’s wrist, she will point them in the direction of who gave it to her, and all bets will be off. Mix in the fact that Clyde’s an ex-con on parole, and things will look very bad for him.

10. EJ’s Confession To Chad

EJ is set to confess something to Chad. This could be one of two things. It’s either the secret he has about Clyde, which would further implicate Ben’s dad in Abigail’s murder, or the fact that he did the deed with Belle. Although, all considering, it’s likely about Clyde. Will Chad be upset with EJ for hiding this from him?

9. Will Chad Spiral?

Most fans can agree that actor Billy Flynn is doing an incredible job as Chad during this storyline, but is Mr. DiMera on the verge of spiraling? When EJ tells him about Clyde, will he feel as if Abigail’s murder could have been prevented if his brother confided in him sooner? Could Chad have a breakdown in the weeks ahead when reality hits hard that Abby is never coming back? The grieving process can be a hard one.

8. Lucas Confesses Something To Will

The next couple of weeks is all about “confessions” as Lucas confides in Will the week of July 11th. What exactly does Lucas confess to his son? Is it about kidnapping his mom? There’s a good chance he tells Will he’s fallen off the wagon. He likely won’t tell him it was the night of Abigail’s murder, though.

7. Like Mother, Like Son

Kate will also have a bombshell for Roman that week. What does she reveal to her love? Much like Lucas, Kate has a ton of secrets she’s been hiding from Roman, and most of them revolve around her son. It’s hard to see her revealing that Lucas kidnapped Sami, after all, Roman may lose it if he finds out (she is his daughter).

6. Shawn Learns The Truth About Baby Shawn

Across town, DOOL fans know the truth about Jan Spears’s baby … will Shawn be filled in? Spoilers for this week reveal that Jan will “lure” Shawn to the docks to fill him in on something. Will she spill the beans? Seems like one way or another, he’ll find out the truth. Won’t Belle feel stupid when everything comes out?

5. Shelle Reunion?

DOOL spoilers for this week note that Belle will get an “old familiar” tug toward Shawn in the coming days ahead. Teasers also imply that the two will “lay it all out” on the line. Marlena will also warn EJ this coming week that he’ll get his heart broken if he pursues Belle. After all, as much as these two have had their ups and downs over the years, they also do end up back with each other. If Jan tells Shawn the truth about her baby, could Shelle reunite?

4. EJ’s Heartbroken

Shelle will likely reunite, which will leave EJ heartbroken; however, will Belle tell Shawn about her romp with DiMera? If she does, could it halt everything, or will Mr. Brady understand that she fell into EJ’s arms because she was hurt by his betrayal? Belle will likely leave out her one-nighter with DiMera, to get back together with Shawn; however, secrets don’t stay hidden in Salem for very long.

DOOL spoilers for the week of July 11th indicate that Sami’s entire life will be flipped upside. Added teasers state that she’ll overhear a conversation between Nicole and EJ, which will have her reeling! Sounds like Walker and DiMera may be chatting about his night with Belle. If Sami learns this, all heck will break loose!

2. Hurricane Sami Unleashes Fury

Sami’s first stop upon learning that her sister shared a night with her ex, will be Shawn. If Shelle reunites, fans should expect the reunion to be short-lived. Hurricane Sami will storm into that relationship and tear it apart to reveal that “sweet” and “innocent” Belle hasn’t been so sweet and innocent, after all.

1. Cin’s Goodbye

Cin’s about to set sail and leave Salem headed on their houseboat for a Bope-ish adventure! Their first stop is the Peacock spin-off, Beyond Salem, the week of July 11th where they’ll pay a visit to Hope, but after that, it may be a while again before fans see Ciara and Ben. With that said, it may not be that long of a while before fans see actor Robert Scott Wilson (Ben). While actress Victoria Konefal (Ciara) is leaving the daytime drama, DOOL’s head writer, Ron Carlivati recently notes that there’s still “material” for Rob, and the soap hasn’t seen the last of Mr. Wilson. There’s buzz he may come back to the show to play Alexander Kiriakis, but only time will tell. Will fans see Robert return as another character in the next two weeks?
