Friends was all about relationships – relationships between family, relationships between lovers, and of course, relationships between friends. And the chemistry between the six main stars of the show is one of the reasons it was such a resounding success throughout the late ’90’s and early 2000’s. But that doesn’t mean that the chemistry was always spot on. Here are 12 couples on friends who had the worst chemistry.
12. Ross and Jill (Reese Witherspoon)
Reese Witherspoon, usually playing super-sweet and instantly loveable roles, came onto the show as Rachel’s bratty little sister who’s used to always getting what she wants. When Rachel tells her she can’t have Ross, that makes the spoiled sibling want to go after her sister’s ex. The set-up is significantly awkward and the lack of chemistry between Ross and Jill made it that much more cringe-worthy to watch.
