For those of you who were hoping for a “Full House” reunion, we have some good news – Netflix has ordered a 13-episode revival of the family sitcom. While it is definitely going to be similar in some ways to the original, it is also going to be completely different (or so we assume). Not all of the characters you grew to know and love will be making a return; however, we think fans will see enough of the old cast to keep them satisfied. Even if you have mixed feelings about the upcoming spinoff, we know that you’re dying to know what to expect, so here are a few things to satisfy your curiosity!
5. D.J. Tanner Is Pregnant And Widowed
“Fuller House” is going to be centered around Candace Cameron Bure’s character D.J. Tanner. Her life takes an unexpected turn, which is not that dissimilar from what happened to her father in the original series. “My character, I am unfortunately widowed,” she told E! News. “D.J.’s had a rough life – her mom died and now her husband died. She has two boys and she’s pregnant with her third, so life’s tough. She needs help, so she asks Stephanie and Kimmy to come live with her and help her raise her kids. It’s kind of the flip of the original Full House.”
Bure has promised fans that “Fuller House” will be fresh and contemporary. “It will be fresh and contemporary and it’ll be current,” she said. “We’re not going to try and re-do the old Full House stories, but I think that we will capture the same feel of the show.”
