(NEW YORK) — Bradley Cooper showed off some bulk Monday night at the Met Gala.
The Oscar nominee is playing Navy SEAL Chris Kyle in American Sniper and has reportedly put on 40 pounds for the role.
Cooper was adorned in a white bow-tie and black tux, but appeared larger and muscular.
“He put on like 40 pounds,” his co-star in the film, Eric Close, told E! News last month. “He’s really been working hard. He looks great. He’s really taken on this character…He really takes this story personally and wants to do an honorable job for Chris’ memory and for his family.”
The movie about Kyle will be directed by Clint Eastwood.
