The Cast Of Desperate Housewives: Where Are They Now?

It has been almost  a decade since the hit show “Desperate Housewives” took the nation by storm. The show was an instant success. In its first year, it won six Emmys, a Golden Globe and two Screen Actors Guild Awards; however, after eight seasons and 180 episodes, the show came to a close in 2012. Let’s see what the cast has been up to since then!

Jesse Metcalfe

Jesse Metcalfe – who played gardener John Rowland and had a relationship with Gabrielle Solis – had a starring role on the television show “Chase” (2010-2011) and current stars on the TV show “Dallas.”

Kyle MacLachlan’s character Orson Hodge married Bree Van de Kamp who was played by Marcia Cross. Since “Desperate Housewives” wrapped, he has guest starred on “How I Met Your Mother,” “Portlandia,” “Made in Jersey” and “The Good Wife.”

The Golden Globe-nominated actress recently announced that she was looking for a network for a half hour comedy series that she is writing and she was recently granted a new trial in her case against ABC/Touchstone TV for being suddenly let go from the show.

Marcia Cross – who played Bree Van de Kamp, the seemingly perfect housewife who struggled to save her marriage – has been laying low since the show finished its run in 2012. Although the Emmy-nominated actress had decided to take a break from acting to focus on motherhood, she is currently looking for work.

Teri Hatcher had a starring role on “Desperate Housewives” as Susan Mayer, which earned her a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Since the show ended, she hasn’t had too many acting gigs; however, she is supposed to have a role in the upcoming film “Transformers: Age of Extinction.”
