With 2018 wrapping up, it’s that time of year where we take a look back at all the memorable fashion and red carpet moments of the year. From the Oscar’s to the Met Gala and SAG awards, the stars of Hollywood definitely brought their A-game in 2018 when it came to their awards show attire. 17. Angelina Jolie — Critics’ Choice Awards

Angelina Jolie stunned when she stepped out at the 23rd annual Critics’ Choice Awards this year wearing a dreamy white dress with a pop of feather detailing along the bust. We love how this dress is simple, but still has a luxe and glamorous feel to it with the added texture. Jolie pulled her hair into a sleek half-up style to show off her diamond earrings and donned a cherry red tint on her lips.

16. Mandy Moore — SAG

Mandy Moore definitely made an impact on the Hollywood fashion world in 2018! Our all-time favorite look of hers from this year had to be the shimmering bright blue dress she wore to the SAG awards. The vibrant, mermaid-inspired dress definitely made heads turn that evening as Moore walked by.

15. Kate Middleton — BATFA’s

No one does gala dressing better than the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton! While she rarely attends red carpet events, you can bet that when she does, it’s a fabulous fashion moment. The Duchess attended this year’s BAFTA awards wearing a show-stopping olive dress that featured a slight off-the-shoulder neckline. She accessorized with sparkling emerald accessories and a black velvet clutch.

14. Natalia Dyer — Emmys

Natalia Dyer was absolutely radiant on the Emmys red carpet this year where she stepped out wearing this intricately beaded golden dress. The look flattered her petite figure perfectly with its dainty design and details. The golden color worked flawlessly with Dyer’s porcelain complexion and chestnut tresses.

13. Sandra Bullock — Ocean’s 8 Premiere

Sandra Bullock went full-on glam for the premiere of her film Ocean’s 8 this year! She donned a sparkling Ellie Saab dress that featured soft feathers around the shoulders and intricate blush beading throughout. The look was the perfect combination of glamor and femininity.

12. Thandie Newton — Emmy’s

Westworld star Thandie Newton stunned on this year’s Emmy red carpet wearing a bubblegum pink Brandon Maxwell dress. The striking gown fit her like a glove and featured a unique shoulder detailing that trailed from her neck down the side of her body like a cape. The entire look was ultra glamorous, especially in combination with her sparkling chandelier earrings and sleek low bun.

11. Zoey Deutch — Oscars

Zoey Deutch is definitely an underrated style icon in our eyes, and she proved this at the 2018 Academy Awards! The actress stepped out wearing an Ellie Saab dress that featured delicate tiers, a soft mauve color palette and intricate beading throughout. While typically it’s quite difficult to pull off tiers, Zoey’s tall, slender figure pulled the look off flawlessly.

10. Lupita Nyong’o — Cannes

Lupita Nyong’o is one of Hollywood’s most enviable style icons and never disappoints when she hits the red carpet. While it was difficult to narrow down exactly which red carpet look was her best since they were all so fabulous, we decided to settle on her Cannes look from this year. It featured a sheer geometric-inspired top in combination with a frilly feathered skirt which was the perfect balance of modern and delicate.

9. Nicole Kidman — Oscars

Nicole Kidman has had a slew of hits and misses when it comes to fashion this year, but we have to admit that her look from the 2018 Oscars was one of our favorite fashion moments of the entire year. The rich blue dress featured an exaggerated sweetheart neckline and an oversized bow along the waist. The Armani Privé number was a serious work of art!

8. Hailey Baldwin — Cannes

Hailey Baldwin is a street style fashion icon, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t know how to dress up for a red carpet every once in a while! The model proved her ability to transition from casual-to-fabulous when she stepped out at the Cannes Film Festival this year wearing a stunning champagne dress with rosegold detailing. The gown fit her like a glove and the colors played fabulously off her pink-tinted tresses.

7. Dakota Johnson — Golden Globes

Dakota Johnson’s stunning look for this year’s Golden Globes was all about the back detail! Her look was quite simple from the front featuring a black velvet texture and silver brooch, but it was truly the starburst design on the back of her dress that stole the show. The back featured a large silver star embellishment with delicate silver beads that cascaded down towards the bottom. It was such a fashion-forward way to make a surprise style statement!

6. Reese Witherspoon — SAG

Reese Witherspoon can do no wrong when it comes to red carpet fashion, and her look for the SAG awards this year proved that. She stood out from the rest in this rich jewel-tone green that we don’t often see on the red carpet. We love the fluttery off-the-shoulder sleeves and sleek contrast paneling that really highlighted Reese’s hourglass shape.

5. Kendall Jenner — Cannes

Kendall Jenner looked absolutely angelic on the Cannes red carpet this year when she stepped out wearing a dress that gave us major white swan vibes. The sheer number featured a delicate tier skirt which was well contrasted with oversized tulle on the shoulders. The look was unlike anything we’d ever seen before and was an undeniable favorite red carpet look for the entire year.

4. Jessica Biel — Emmys

Jessica Biel had so many best-dressed red carpet moments this year that it was difficult to narrow it down to just one favorite! Our top pick, however, was the swoon-worthy white dress she wore to the Emmy Awards this year. Her look was both dainty and geometric which was seriously stunning. We love the intricate pattern work and tier detailing which flattered her tall, slender figure flawlessly.

Jennifer Garner had all eyes on her at this year’s Oscars when she stepped out wearing this jaw-dropping cobalt blue dress! Her look was a refreshing pop of color in a sea of neutrals which really made her stand out. The stunning look featured intricate chiffon detailing along the bodice and a flattering train detailing which trailed gracefully behind her.

No one could possibly forget Gigi Hadid’s bombshell look that she wore to the Met Gala this year! The first Monday of May is known for fashion and Gigi Hadid definitely delivered. Her look featured a glittering design that mimicked the look of a butterfly wing with its multi-color beading and sparkle. Her look was a sultry masterpiece!

Of all the iconic red carpet looks this year, we have to crown the number one spot to Blake Lively with her one-of-a-kind Met Gala look this year! Lively has made a tradition of perfectly coordinating her Met Gala look with the carpet of the event each year, and this year was no different. Lively made a sartorial statement with her gemstone-embellished gown that featured ruching, pattern work and glitter galore!
