Tony Awards 2018: 12 Best Dressed Stars

Each year the Tony Awards brings together the most talented stars in the theatre industry to celebrate their successes. The stars of Broadway always bring their A-game when it comes to fashion on the Tony’s red carpet and this year was no different. Although there was a handful of fashion misses, there were even more wins! Follow along for 12 of the best-dressed stars from this year’s 2018 Tony Awards red carpet:

12. Katharine McPhee

Katherine McPhee looked demure and gorgeous in black at this year’s Tony Awards red carpet! Her dress consisted of a sleek, square-neckline and soft floral embellishment around the waistline. This satin number cinched in at her waist and featured some padding around the hips which was extra flattering and gave her an hourglass figure.

11. Christine Baranski

Christine Baranski wore a crisp white pantsuit for this year’s Tony Awards. The suit was perfectly tailored to her body, which is key with masculine dressing on the red carpet. We love that the blazer is belted at the waist and that the trousers are a little cropped which adds a softness and a femininity to her look. She accessorized with sparkly heels, drop style earrings and a metallic clutch.

10. Katrina Lenk

Katerina Lenk was a vision in white on this year’s Tony Awards red carpet. She wore a crisp chiffon gown that featured a plunging neckline, belted waistline and subtle sparkle detailing along the sides. She pulled her hair up into a wispy updo and topped the look with a pair of emerald earrings which added the perfect pop of color and a touch of glamour.

9. Melissa Benoist

Melissa Benoist proved that sometimes wearing a simple dress can make the biggest impression when it comes to red carpet fashion! She wore a sleek Dior slip gown that featured a V-neckline, a thick belted waist, and a sleek, flowy skirt. Slip dresses are a huge trend right now in the fashion industry, so we love that she twisted this trend into something appropriate for the red carpet.

8. Laurie Metcalf

Laurie Metcalf looked sleek and sophisticated in this black and white number on the red carpet at the Tony Awards! We love how the elegant neckline showed skin in the most modest way possible. The dress fit her like a glove and the tulle sash hanging from her hip added the perfect touch of glamour.

7. Hailey Kilgore

Hailey Kilgore stepped out wearing this feminine floral dress for the 2018 Tony Awards! The floral print was super unique and the contrast of soft pink with dark purple detailing was absolutely fabulous. She topped the look with a royal purple satin clutch and a pop of purple on her lips which totally pulled the look together.

6. Lauren Ambrose

Lauren Ambrose looked sweet and feminine at this year’s Tony Awards! The Oscar De La Renta number featured a soft champagne color with stark black and silver bird embellishment throughout. Typically we’d be against any sort of animal-inspired embellishment, but this look is totally elegant. She accessorized with a black clutch, simple black pumps and a pop of crimson on her lips which added a slight sultriness to her look.

5. Denise Gough

Sheer paneling has been a huge trend on the red carpet this year and Denise Gough pulled it off flawlessly on this year’s 2018 Tony Awards red carpet! We love the combination of the black tiers with subtle sparkle embellishment and the fact that the black belt tied around her waist ensured her figure wasn’t lost within all the tiers.

4. Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington was a total bombshell at the Tony Awards this year! She took a fashion risk this metallic look, but it was well-rewarded. Washingon rocked a plunging neckline jumpsuit with silver embellishment throughout and cutouts along the waist. The look featured a cape detailing along the back which really brought the drama and made this look unique.

3. Stephanie Styles

Stephanie Styles had one of the most swoon-worthy fashion moments of the entire evening! She stepped out in this sweet, soft pink number that featured 3D embellishment throughout. It fit her body flawlessly and stood out in the sea of embellished dresses with its unique texturing along the skirt. She swooped her hair into an elegant updo, added a pop of peach on her cheeks and a swipe of cherry red on her lips.

2. Sara Bareilles

Sara Bareilles stole the show at this year’s Tony Awards in this stunning bronze dress! She dressed to the nines, and rightfully so since she was one of the hosts of the event. We love the embellished detailing along the bodice of this dress, which contrasted flawlessly with the tiered, tulle skirt. The black belt around her waist gave her figure a shape and the beach waves in her hair softened the entire look.

1. Tina Fey

Tina Fey made jaws drop when she stepped out at the Tony Awards red carpet this year! She rocked a sleek silver number which totally showed off her curves and flattered her figure. The tassel, feather detailing along the skirt of this dress really added something unique which made it stand out among all the other metallic looks of the evening.
