Chris Hemsworth is going from Thor to playing another blonde legend, WWE’s Hulk Hogan.

According to multiple reports, Hemsworth has been tapped to play Hogan in a new film that is set to be directed by The Hangover director Todd Philips and will be written by Scott Silver and John Pollono, and it looks like streaming giant Netflix is in the lead to land the deal for the film.

The actor will portray Hogan during his early days in the wrestling circuit. The Hollywood Reporter also reported that the biopic won’t focus on Hogan’s eventual personal struggles, including the recent Gawker lawsuit, but will instead be “an origin story of the Hulkster and Hulkamania.”

Terry Gene Bollea who would become known as Hulk Hogan began his career in the late 1970s and went on to became a fixture in pop culture thanks to his wrestling persona that led him to many TV appearances. Hogan will act as both a consultant and executive producer on the project, with Bradley Cooper also on board as a producer, per the outlet.

Hemsworth, 35, has yet to comment on his newest and surprising role as he prepares for what is expected to be his final appearance as Thor in Avengers: Endgame which is set for a late April release.
