Chris Pratt is ready for marriage again!
The popular actor announced his engagement to girlfriend Katherine Schwarzenegger on Monday, January 14 with a sweet post on social media of the pair hugging and Katherine’s new ring is in full view. “Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!,” he wrote alongside the photo.
Pratt, 39, shared the news after posting a video earlier in the weekend about helping Katherine, 29, move from her Santa Monica, California home, and it seems they are most likely living together now.
The engagement comes only six months after the two began dating back in June 2018 after they were set up by Katherine’s mother Maria Shriver. Their romance heated up quickly as they were soon introducing each other to their families, and sources confirmed that an engagement was most likely coming sooner rather than later.
While the pair had been serious for quite some time, Pratt didn’t speak out publicly about his relationship until mid-December when he shared an adorable post for Katherine’s 29th birthday. “Happy Birthday Chief! Your smile lights up the room. I’ve cherished our time together. Thrilled God put you in my life. Thankful for the laughs, kisses, talks, hikes, love and care,” he wrote alongside the post.
Pratt was previously married to actress Anna Faris, but the two announced their separation back in August 2017 after nine years of marriage. The two had a very amicable divorce and have remained friends as they continue to co-parent their young son Jack.
Both waived their right to spousal support in the divorce settlement, and shortly after it was finalized Fairs and her boyfriend Michael Barrett joined Pratt and Schwarzenegger as they took Jack trick-or-treating that Halloween.
