Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead have welcomed their first child together!
The couple, who fans will recognize as costars on 2020’s Birds of Prey, welcomed a newborn son. The news of the baby’s arrival was first shared by the newborn boy’s older sisters on social media.
The news was first confirmed by McGregor’s eldest child, 25-year-old Clara McGregor, who shared an Instagram post of the newborn on Sunday. “Welcome to the world little brother, congratulations to my Dad & Mary – this is the greatest gift,” Clara wrote alongside two adorable photos with her newborn sibling.
Clara’s younger sister, 19-year old Esther, also shared her excitement and congratulations on Instagram. “Met my little brother looking like a pirate. I recommend!,” she captioned a carousel of adorable images. “Welcome to the family little Laurie.”
News of McGregor and Winstead’s newborn may come as a surprise to many fans since the Kate actress did not share publicly that she was expecting and was not photographed pregnant.
McGregor is also a father to two more children, 20-year-old Jamyan, and 10-year-old Anouk, from his former marriage to Eve Mavrakis, whom he divorced after 22 years of marriage.
McGregor and Winstead first met in late 2016 on the set of the TV series Fargo. In May 2017, the news was revealed that Winstead had split from her husband, Riley Stearns, after seven years of marriage. Later that fall, Winstead and McGregor were spotted together for the first time.
