Matthew Perry, who is best known for playing Chandler Bing on Friends, is officially engaged!
It had been confirmed that Perry, 51, has proposed to his longtime girlfriend Molly Hurwitz, 29, and she said yes. “I decided to get engaged,” Perry shared with PEOPLE. “Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time.”
Perry and Hurwitz, a literary agent, began dating in 2018, but only went public with their relationship this past Valentine’s Day. To honor the holiday, Hurwitz shared a hilarious yet sweet message about her boyfriend on her private Instagram account. “Second year being my valentine, but his first as an Instagram influencer,” she wrote in the caption, seemingly referencing Perry’s then-new Instagram account. “HVD to my favorite.”
Reportedly, sources have revealed that Perry and Hurwitz “hit it off immediately” when they first met. “Molly has been seeing Matthew for months, they mix in the same circles and she’s originally from New York where they have spent time together,” the source revealed.
“She has a very quirky sense of humor and they hit it off immediately. Molly is not interested in fame and she rarely parties, she’s been great for Matthew.”
