John Travolta took to social media to pay tribute to his late wife Kelly Preston in honor of what would have been her 58th birthday today.
Preston passed three months ago following a private two-year battle with breast cancer, Travolta honored his wife with a sweet throwback snap from their wedding in 1991 alongside a photo of his parents from their own wedding day.
“Happy Birthday hon!” the Grease actor wrote. “I found this photo of my mom and dad‘s wedding. It was nice to see ours alongside theirs. All my love, John.”
Preston is survived by Travolta and their two children Ella, 20, and Benjamin, 9. The couple also had son, Jett, who tragically passed at the age of 16 after suffering a seizure in 2009.
On July 12, Travolta confirmed his wife’s death in an emotional Instagram caption. “It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many,” he wrote.
“My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered.”
