Lady Gaga, who most recently starred in the hit film A Star is Born, is known for her out-of-the-box and eccentric sense of fashion. For every awards show, it’s almost a guarantee that Gaga will step out wearing something totally different and creative.
For the 2019 award show season so far she proved this to be true with her dress for the Golden Globes. Her ensemble for the event was an oversized powder blue Valentino number which featured voluminous sleeves and a glamorous full train. Since this was the standard Gaga set for the year, we anticipated she would wear a similarly outrageous dress for the rest of the 2019 awards show season.
Gaga has proved otherwise, however, with her look for this year’s 2019 Critics’ Choice awards! Rather than something dramatic and head turning, the star opted for a surprisingly simple look that featured a straight cut neckline and a shift silhouette. The pale pink Calvin Klein by Appointment gown featured a slightly exposed back and an elegant train.
It seems that Gaga toned down the drama for this event and we have to admit it feels quite refreshing! A clean dress like this really allows Gaga’s beauty to shine instead of being distracted by an overwhelming dress.
