Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar used to be the king and queen of the 90’s as he was the tall, dark and handsome heartthrob in films like She’s All That, Boys and Girls and of course I Know What You Did Last Summer co-starring his now-wife Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Of course who can forget her as the ultimate bad-a– chick Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but now the two are more focused on family after twelve years of marriage and two children, Charlotte, 5, and Rocky, 2.
Recently it was discovered the Freddie Prinze, 38, underwent spinal surgery but he took to his Twitter to assure fans he was ok, “Guys, Im totally fine. Recovering great. No need to get ur info from entertainment ‘news’ sources who have no clue. Trust your homie, ” he wrote.
While he mitigated any reports that his health was in danger he did allude to it being pretty bad when he posted another Twitter message reading, “#KeepItPlayful Learnin to walk again is like learning jiu-jitsu- 1 technique at a time.”
While the rest of us were concerned that he had to “learn to walk again”, his wife Sarah Michelle Gellar, 37, was not sympathetic and even called out his exaggerations.
Gellar attended the 4th Annual Santa’s Secret Workshop on Saturday December 6 and when asked about his condition, Gellar turned on the sarcasm. “You mean, ‘learning to walk’?! I can’t even. I’m not joking. Our mailwoman, god bless her heart, was like, ‘I prayed for you Freddie and it worked, you’re walking.’ He’s fine. He did have very serious surgery, there’s no question, but his ‘learning to walk again’ has been greatly exaggerated,” Gellar explained about the whole situation.
He also won’t be getting off the hook for the holidays either, Gellar said that while she handled Thanksgiving with him recovering, “Christmas will be all him.”
