Will Jack do the unthinkable and allow himself to be vulnerable with Diane? How will Phyllis react if and when she learns about the two growing closer? Will Chance and Victor continue to butt heads? 12. They’ll Kiss? (Yes, They’ll Kiss!)

This week’s Y&R preview video shows Jack and Diane having an intimate conversation on the Abbott mansion couch, where they both reveal having feelings for each other. The scene ends with a passionate kiss. Why is Jack letting his guard down with Diane? And how will Phyllis feel when she finds out that her nemesis and her ex are moving towards a reunion?

11. Phyllis Continues To Push Jack Towards Diane

When reviewing this week’s Y&R spoilers, it seems as if Jack and Diane’s kiss will occur on Friday’s episode, which means Phyllis will likely continue to push Abbott in Jenkins’ direction with her antics. Red will probably flip her lid during the week of August 22nd, when she realizes Jack is on the cusp of a reunion with Jenkins. This will cause her to ramp up her plan that much more!

10. Summer and Kyle’s Plans Interrupted

Y&R spoilers for this week suggest that “Skyle” will have their romantic plans interrupted. This could be Phyllis on a rant about Diane, or it could be about an emergency at Marchetti. What if this teaser is about Harrison? Could the little boy have gotten hurt? What if Phyllis is watching him, and he gets into an accident under her care? That could also drive Diane and Jack to reveal feelings for each other and kiss. Harrison has helped reveal a softer side to Jenkins, and the two could once again bond over their grandson.

9. There’s Hope In Talia Morgan

Talia Morgan, an investigative reporter, is set to hit the Genoa City scene this week, and while it sounds like she’s in town to do a story on Ashland, Nikki will work overtime to convince her to do one on Diane. Seems like the plan will be a success and Talia will start working on the case right away. With this new ally in town, can the ladies drive Jenkins out of GC before she and Jack cross a line in the bedroom?

8. How Is Nikki More Preoccupied With Diane?

With everything that’s going on at the ranch, how is Nikki even able to scheme and plot against Diane? Perhaps now that she’s stepped away from Newman Enterprises, she has the time to juggle two schemes at once. Victor is leading the Ashland investigation coup, so she doesn’t have to be that hands-on, but it’s still over-the-top that she can focus on anything other than saving her family and hubby from possible jail time. Only in soaps!

7. Chance Versus Victor

Chance and Victor will continue to butt heads over the Ashland Locke investigation, and it seems as if the cop will be relentless in his pursuit of finding the truth. Newman can be an intimidating character — not only because of the power and money he holds, but also because he’s Abby’s father — so it should be interesting to see who comes out ahead in this standoff.

Will she catch him digging in her dad’s office at the Ranch to find some dirt that could link him to Ashland’s passing? Expect something of that nature. Will Abby look away, help Chance, or run to Daddy Moustache? Where do her loyalties stand?

At some point, however, Nick may be the weak link in this Newman family secret chain.

Chelsea isn’t about to let go of this Johnny/Connor idea. In fact, Y&R spoilers for this week hint that she and Victoria will have a chat about the past. Lawson will likely mention that she wants Connor to have a relationship with Johnny, but also that she wants her first bio son to learn that she is his mother. Naturally, Vicky will be apprehensive about the idea. The two boys could still have a concrete bond as cousins, so why is Chelsea so adamant about exposing the truth?

If the sum was as over-the-top as implied during the scene, then Devon may have an issue with his cousin recklessly using company funds. How long can Lily play peacemaker?
