10 Things You Didn’t Know About Chris Pratt And Anna Faris’ Relationship

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris were one of Hollywood’s cutest comedic couples. Since they recently announced that they were separating after eight years of marriage, we can’t help but feel sad and disappointed. These two really seemed like they were in it for the long haul and we really feel that their separation announcement really came out nowhere. Since we’re going to miss these two as a couple, join as we take a look at 11 things you didn’t know about their relationship:

11. Life Before Chris Pratt

Before she met and married Chris, Anna dated a lot of good looking jerks who treated her like garbage, but it taught her what she was looking for in a relationship. “My whole 20s were about relationship learning, and I had so many bad relationships, but I feel like I at least learned what made me feel good and what didn’t make me feel good,” she said. “But I did learn, at least, from some of those relationships what kindness was and how I wanted a guy who was actually – who was nice and kind. It sounds simple, but that’s what I hope for you.”

10. Met on Set

They met on the set of Take Me Home Tonight in 2007. At the time, she was still married to her first husband, Ben Indra. Upon meeting her, Pratt thought she was hot and funny, but since she wasn’t single, he didn’t pursue her. They still became friends though. When she would come over, he would leave his porn magazines out and he even once detailed a sexual encounter of his and he loved that she was unfazed by it. A year later when she finally left Indra, he decided that he was going to marry her.

9. Falling in Love

Pratt once said that he and Faris fell in love on set the film Take Me Home when they were playing on-screen lovers. “It was like magnets. Our personalities meshed, she was a goofball, she liked to have fun, it was impossible to offend her. We were friends first but she left her husband at the end of the movie, and we started dating when we were back in Los Angeles,” he told Elle. “So we were friends, and I was there for her. And we had just played love interests, so we had this tight bond spending so much time and spending nights in Phoenix, but we never crossed the line. But we were, I think, developing feelings for each other at the time, you know?”

She was so moved by this that she actually started to cry! “I was like, I’ve met the man of my dreams,” she said. “We both have dead bug collections.”

6. Family

Chris and Anna have one child together, Jack, who was born in August 2012 prematurely. “My water broke in the middle of the night at seven months. We rushed to the hospital, and they were able to halt active labor with magnesium. I was at the hospital and the goal was to be in bed for four weeks … but on the seventh day, I went into labor again. I was in denial. For hours I was like, ‘I’m just having indigestion.’ Chris and I were so scared, but then Jack came out, even though he was so tiny, he looked so good to us,” she told Redbook.

She’s so goddamn funny and so good,” he said. “She is a legit comedy powerhouse. But I’m not going to question it too much. I don’t know what it is, man. I guess chicks dig love handles or something.”

Put him in the middle of it. Roll it up. Tie him up. Force-feed him like, dumplings. Put him in the attic. And just fatten him up,” she said.

1. Separation

On August 6, the couple announced on Facebook that they were separating after eight years of marriage. Although rumors have been swirling about infidelity, sources claim that the couple split because they had differing views about how they wanted to raise their family. Faris reportedly wanted more children and was looking to have a family that spent more time together while Pratt was more interested in focusing on his career. Sources said that he isn’t interested in having more children at the moment because he doesn’t want to balance his career and a growing family. The pair plan to keep their separation and divorce amicable for their son, Jack.
