7. Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green

Megan Fox announced to the world she was expecting her third child when she showed up at the CinemaCon in Las Vegas in April 2016. This pregnancy caused a huge stir because Fox was no longer with Brian Austin Green. She had filed for divorce months prior back in August 2015. Although the couple had been spotted together a few times since then, it was hard to tell if these sightings were a sign the two were back together or just co-parenting. No one expected a couple with marital problems to announce they were expecting! Many people speculated if the father was another man Fox had been seeing since the split, but eventually she revealed it was her estranged husband Green and that they were going to give their marriage another shot. Fox and Green welcomed their third son, Journey River, on August 4th, 2016.

6. George and Amal Clooney

The recent announcement that Hollywood’s most notorious bachelor, 55-year-old George Clooney, is expecting twins with his 39-year-old wife, Amal Alamuddin, was definitely the most shocking baby announcement in a long time! We were all surprised when he got married back in 2014 because he had once sworn off marriage and babies, but now he was going to take on another role we never thought we’d see him in — dad! The fiercely private couple had Julie Chen from The Talk make the announcement, although rumors had already been swirling as people suspected Amal was showing signs of a baby bump. The happy couple haven’t released any other information about their pregnancy other than the fact that they are due in June, but there have been whispers it’s a boy and a girl!

5. Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott

In October 2016, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum announced she was expecting her fifth child with husband, Dean McDermott. While it’s not surprising to picture these two as parents considering they already have four children, Liam, Stella, Hattie and Finn, this particular pregnancy was surprising because many assumed, after the difficulties in her last pregnancy and the alleged financial problems that they were having, that the two were done having children. There is also the fact that the former Chopped Canada host had recently come clean about being unfaithful to his wife which was documented on their Lifetime docuseries True Tori. Regardless of their woes, the couple have remained adamant about working through their marriage and welcomed a baby boy named Beau Dean McDermott in March 2017.

4. Kailyn Lowry

Teen Mom 2 star, Kailyn Lowry just recently announced she’s expecting her third child with an unknown man. She released a statement on her website to announce the exciting news and even addressed that she knew this pregnancy was slightly controversial considering she had previously said she didn’t want more kids, which was one of many reasons her marriage with ex-husband Javi Marroquin ended. Surprisingly, she also revealed the pregnancy was planned. She had received news that her chances of conceiving and carrying a child to term were low, so she and the person she was with decided to try and have a child and it worked! The reality star now has three children with three separate fathers. The gender of her child is also unknown, but is due in the summer of 2017!

Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian were definitely one of the most unexpected couples to ever hook up, and while their relationship didn’t last long, they managed to take in quite a few milestones together. The two started dating in January 2016, were engaged by April and announced they were expecting their first child in May. The Kardashian family has never been shy about their crazy antics and family drama, but this was crazy, even for them! Not only did their relationship travel at warp speed, but Rob’s health had been up and down in the past. Their history is also extremely complicated because Chyna already shares a son with ex-fiancé, Tyga, who is currently dating Rob’s half-sister, Kylie Jenner. Regardless of all this craziness, the two welcomed a daughter named Dream in November 2016, but are no longer together.

2. Morena Baccarin and Ben McKenzie

When Gotham co-stars Morena Baccarin and Ben McKenzie announced they were expecting a child together, everybody was talking about it because the news broke only two months after her estranged husband, Austin Chick, had filed for divorce. Chick filed for divorce in June, but in September, Baccarin was already four months pregnant and planning to marry McKenzie. Their divorce got messy as Chick alleged the actress not only blindsided him with her relationship, but that she had cheated on him! The details of when Morena and Ben started dating are unclear, but it seems like things moved fairly quickly. We didn’t even learn about their blossoming romance until they were already expecting their first child! They welcomed a baby girl named Frances Laiz Setta Schenkkan on March 2, 2016 and are now happily engaged.

At the age of 50, Janet Jackson announced to the world that she and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, were going to try and start a family. It was really surprising to a lot of people considering her age — not many women choose to start their family at the age of 50, plus she was in the middle of a world tour! She postponed her tour via a message on Twitter explaining it was due to doctor’s orders, but fans couldn’t tell whether she was already pregnant or simply trying. She finally confirmed her pregnancy in October and welcomed her first son, Eissa Al Mana, into the world on January 3, 2017!
