The love triangle between Ridge, Brooke and Taylor will climax in Aspen, coming up on The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B). 12. Shauna Returns!

After quietly departing the CBS soap, Denise Richards will return to B&B to reprise the role of Shauna Fulton. For many viewers, Richards’ return will be a breath of fresh air as her character had a lot of promise, despite some rough patches. Unfortunately, her return will not only be short-lived, but an unhappy one at that.

11. Update On Quinn

Why bring Shauna back to the canvas when the only character she interacted with, Quinn, is no longer on the show? Shauna will likely be the bearer of bad news, sharing an update on her bestie. Has Quinn fallen ill, or even passed away? Given Rena Sofer’s sudden cast exit, it wouldn’t surprise viewers if Shauna’s back to reveal that Quinn has perished in an accident (off-screen, of course, and in a way that writers can undo later).

10. Carter Will Be Devastated

Shauna will approach Carter with some distressing news about his girlfriend, who is suspiciously never around anymore. And whatever she tells Mr. Walton will leave him heartbroken. Maybe Quinn has had second thoughts about her relationship with Carter, and needs time away from L.A. to find out what she really wants. Maybe she believes that Carter deserves better than a rebound relationship after her failed marriage to Eric, and has sent Shauna to break the news.

9. The Real Danger

Brooke is playing a dangerous game with Thomas, and she knows full well that it has nothing to do with his knife-waving. In the final scene of their argument, Brooke didn’t look frightened so much as inspired by the blade Thomas was slicing his apple with. Here she sees an angle in which she can prove that Douglas isn’t safe with Thomas, but that will prove to be the dangerous part. And even Liam will do his best to set Brooke straight over the coming days.

8. Upping The Ante

By forcing Ridge to choose between her version of events and his son’s, Brooke is upping the ante in a tug-of-war between the Logans and Forresters. In so doing, she’s daring the opposition to raise the stakes – and Child Protective Services’ (CPS) visit to the Forrester mansion is the beginning of that. Thanks to this unknown whistleblower, Ridge is now even more strained. Plus, Thomas will be pushed to seek custody away from her daughter, Hope.

7. Who Called CPS?

Brooke is obviously the lead suspect, as no one else was screaming from the rooftops about Thomas being a bad influence on Douglas. But was Logan the one who contacted CPS, or is she being used as a patsy? There are a handful of people who’d love to see Brooke blamed for sending the authorities over to the Forrester mansion – namely, Steffy. Finn will notice that his wife’s behavior seems off lately, and that she seems willing to wreak havoc in other peoples’ lives. But has Steffy gone so far as to frame her dad’s wife?

6. Leave It To Charlie

Ridge will want to find out who contacted CPS, especially after he takes heat from Thomas for believing that Brooke is innocent. B&B spoilers tease that Ridge will ask Charlie to look into who made the call. Will this mean diving into phone records or video surveillance? Either way, we predict that Charlie’s findings won’t reveal the full story. But why?

5. There’s A Twist

As predicted, Douglas’ voice app is coming into play here. If whoever called in CPS over Douglas’ safety had recorded a sample of Brooke’s voice, Charlie might conclude (falsely) that Logan blew the whistle. But who else might’ve taken notice of Douglas’ app and used it? Someone inside the Forrester mansion, perhaps? Could it have been Douglas himself? As that mystery deepens, CPS agent Walter Barnes will make another visit to the mansion on September 30th.

4. Taylor Blinks First

If Brooke is being framed for making the call, the person responsible might not be happy about this particular development: Taylor will have a change of heart. Once CPS gets involved, Taylor will realize that her rival will stop at nothing to keep the Forresters off-balance. Seeing Thomas and Ridge argue will upset Taylor, and convince her that fighting for her ex is just making Brooke lash out against her loved ones. She’ll decide to throw in the towel on this love triangle, but not so fast!

3. A Trip To Aspen

Upon hearing that her mother is letting Ridge go, Steffy will make arrangements for Taylor to retreat to Aspen. Steffy will hope that some clean air and scenic vistas will inspire Taylor to regain her fighting spirit. However, Taylor’s travel plans won’t give her any respite from her troubles, because the drama in L.A. is coming with her!

2. Room For One More?

Taylor’s escape to Aspen will be interpreted (either by Ridge or Steffy) as a loving gesture to her ex-hubby, who is being pulled in so many directions. By removing herself from the equation, Taylor will look like she’s sacrificing what she wants for the man she loves. And with all of the pressure Ridge is feeling at home, he’ll go looking for Taylor in the mountains.

According to the B&B news round-up, Krista Allen (Taylor) and Thorsten Kaye (Ridge) weren’t the only actors filming on location in Aspen; Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy) and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) were also on hand. So, viewers can expect this love triangle to heat up in the romantic getaway town. In fact, it sounds like Ridge will finally make his decision between Brooke and Taylor while on this trip.
