The 2020 American Music Awards certainly looked a little different this year than what we’ve seen in previous years. Despite this, however, the stars that attended the event still brought their A-game when it came to red carpet glamour and glitz. Follow along as we roundup all the red carpet hits and misses for the 2020 American Music Awards:

15. Hit: Bebe Rexha

Bebe Rexha dazzled at the 2020 AMAs wearing this silver cutout dress on the red carpet. The glitzy texture of the dress and bold cutouts truly made for a head-turning fashion moment.

14. Miss: Cassie DiLaura

Cassie DiLaura missed the mark at this year’s American Music Awards where she opted for a drapey red top and leather-textured pants. We simply felt this look was a little overly casual for an award show red carpet.

13. Hit: Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez stole the show at the 2020 American Music Awards when she stepped out wearing this sequined silver number. We love how unique this look is with the two separate pieces and bold, structured shoulders.

12. Miss: Christian Serratos

We have to admit we weren’t the biggest fans of this look worn by Christian Serratos at the 2020 AMAs. While we love the soft sequined texture of this dress, the oversized black bows really distracted from the look as a whole.

11. Hit: Cara Delevingne

Cara Delevingne stunned at the 2020 American Music Awards where she power-posed on the red carpet wearing this metallic matching suit. The look felt like the perfect combination of sophistication and red carpet glam.

10. Miss: Doja Cat

We felt that Doja Cat missed the mark with her look for this year’s 2020 American Music Awards. The shape of this dress felt overly billowy and the color seemed to wash out her complexion rather than flatter it.

9. Hit: Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton looked stunning at the 2020 American Music Awards where she walked the red carpet wearing a long-sleeve sequined minidress. The high ponytail she opted for with this look really made the whole look feel elevated and sleek.

8. Miss: Laverne Cox

We felt that Laverne Cox had a fashion miss at this year’s AMA awards where she rocked an asymmetric gold and black number. The gold cape detail seemed to somewhat drown her and the look as a whole felt a little overly theatrical.

7. Hit: Kristin Cavallari

Kristin Cavallari rocked a simple mauve dress for the annual AMAs that was both classy and slinky. We love the contrast of the modest high neckline and long sleeves with the high leg slit and side body cutout.

6. Miss: Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa rocked a white patterned minidress at this year’s AMA awards that we, unfortunately, weren’t the biggest fans of. The starfish detailing of this dress felt a little too costume-like rather than classy.

5. Hit: Tayshia Adams

Bachelorette star Tayshia Adams dazzled on the red carpet at this year’s AMAs. This dress looked gorgeous on her with the deep cobalt blue tones and intricate sequined beading.

4. Miss: Taraji P. Henson

Taraji P. Henson missed the mark at this year’s 2020 American Music Awards where she stepped out wearing this silver minidress. The star had a few outfit changes throughout the evening, but we have to admit this one was our least favorite. The shift-style dress seemed to drown her figure and lack shape.

3. Hit: Becky G

Becky G stole the show at the annual American Music Awards’ red carpet where she rocked this sleek white dress. We love the pops of silver sequins incorporated into this look and her old-Hollywood style waves really bought the red carpet glam factor.

2. Miss: Ciara

We unfortunately weren’t the biggest fans of Ciara’s look for this year’s 2020 American Music Awards. The dress didn’t feel tailored enough and the red tone blended in nearly seamlessly with the red carpet backdrop.
